Through evidence-based food allergy education and support, The Food Allergy Compass helps families, caregivers, and communities build practical skills for food allergy management and prepare for what lies ahead—creating space for both safety and everyday life.

You don’t have to figure it out all on your own.

Hi, I'm Erica.

Meet Your Guide –

I’m a clinical pharmacist, educator, food allergy mom, and founder of The Food Allergy Compass.

For more than 15 years, I’ve worked as a clinical pharmacist, helping make complex health information easier to understand. But when food allergies became part of my own family’s life, I experienced firsthand how much there is to learn—and how much of that learning happens outside the doctor’s office.

Professional Knowledge
& Lived Experience

The Food Allergy Compass brings these two perspectives together to help families build the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to navigate everyday life with food allergies.

Common Questions

The Food Allergy Compass is designed for parents and caregivers who want more time and support to understand food allergies and feel prepared for everyday situations. You may be newly diagnosed, preparing for a transition, building confidence with epinephrine, navigating food safely, exploring treatment options, or simply facing a new question as your child grows.

You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you need before reaching out. We can start with where your family is right now.

No. The Food Allergy Compass provides education and practical support and does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace care from your allergist or other healthcare providers.

As a licensed pharmacist, I can help you make sense of food allergy information, medications, treatment options, and your child’s existing care plan, while helping you explore questions and options you may not have known to consider. From there, we can focus on what matters to your family and practical ways to balance safety with everyday life. Recommendations and medical decisions specific to your child remain with your healthcare team.

Sessions are designed primarily for parents and caregivers of children with food allergies. You’re welcome to include up to two additional caregivers or family members, and children can participate when appropriate based on their age and the focus of the session.

If you’re an adult managing your own food allergies, you’re also welcome to reach out to see whether a session would be a good fit.

The Food Allergy Compass is a private-pay educational service and does not bill insurance. Pricing is always provided before booking, so you’ll know the cost upfront.

Sessions are available virtually, so families can participate from the comfort of home. In-person sessions may also be available for families in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Reach out through the contact form to learn more.

After your session, you’ll receive a personalized recap based on what we discussed and what would be most helpful for your family. This may include helpful resources, practical next steps, and questions to consider discussing with your child’s allergist or healthcare team.

You can schedule an Initial Consultation whenever you’re ready. Before we meet, you’ll complete an intake questionnaire so I can learn more about your family, what you’d like support with, and what matters most to you.

Not sure if a session is right for you? You can also start with a complimentary 15-minute call to ask questions and see whether The Food Allergy Compass feels like the right fit.
